Priya Ma’am is a great language tutor. She has an amazing way of breaking things down so that they are understandable, and always keeping it light and fun. Her lessons were engaging, useful, and she was very patient with everyone in class, always encouraging her students to try. She helps me to learn new things in a simple way and encourages me to express my thoughts, which helps me to improve my public speaking skills. As a student, you feel pushed to learn and try out new competencies, feel safe and supported in doing so and gain valuable feedback that helps you to improve.
If you are interested in improving your language, I think you’ll appreciate her course.

Ms.Priya is one of those rare teachers who are able to create content that students enjoy so much that they often don’t realise how much language they are learning each day in each class. In the classroom, her teaching approach boosts students’ confidence as they’re practicing English they can immediately use. Mam is for me a star teacher. Her enthusiasm is contagious! Her teaching style lets students at any age learn in a relaxed and fun environment. Ma’am will not only put out her 100% as a teacher, but will also motivate the student to move forward in their language journey and make it a real progress of a lifetime.

Priya ma’am is a wonderful, interactive and engaging teacher! There are many things I love about her teaching, but the one that takes the cake is that she teaches English the way it should be taught. English is a language and should be taught practically, with rigor and fun in equal measure, which is something Priya ma’am does very well. Lastly, as Priya ma’am herself once said, “English teachers since time immemorial have been known to teach more than just English!”, so be prepared to learn more than what you expected to!

Ms. Priya is the most brilliant person I’ve had the honour of learning from. Her way of teaching is everything the education system isn’t, but should be. Her lessons are effective, impactful, and easy to understand. English is so much more than just a mandatory subject you take at school, and Priya Ma’am shows you just that through her teaching. It’s fun, engaging and stimulating. She helps explore the language for all its beauty and nuances. Her classes shaped me into who I am today, and enhanced my understanding of the language beyond measure, and by extension, myself.

Priya ma’am’s teaching is one of a kind. Not only does she polish your English, but her classes teach you how to be a confident individual and survive in today’s hasty world. I have seen immense improvement in my skills as a whole ever since I took part in one of her courses: Growth with Literature. Most of the activities involved something the students could relate to (such as music or manga) which were then blended seamlessly into the curriculum to teach us how to grow with literature (it’s in the name, folks.) It pushed my boundaries in the best way possible, because I would’ve never thought I was capable of writing a screenplay AND a magazine, but Priya ma’am really worked her magic! The best part is that her lessons can be applicable to loads of languages, not just English, which makes them that much more effective. My linguistic skills would not have been on the level they are at today if it wasn’t for her!

Oh, I really enjoyed the classes, though the thing I liked most was that the course appeared like a bridge through the awful attack of waves of not-ideas. I am happy I quickly crossed that bridge!

Learning from and with Mrs Dubey Sah is one of life’s greatest pleasures. From making a mosaic wall with a piece of each of us and publishing a literary newsletter of which I was one of the editors, to having a picnic in the football field and reading a Sherlock Holmes novel in an open, windy space, it feels like I learnt and did so much more during her classes in 8 th grade than I have in all of middle and high school. She always taught us instead of telling us. She let us come to our own conclusions and treated us
like the teenagers we were. From one of the first tasks about writing creative answers to one of the last ones about writing a speech as a vicious dictator, we were always given really cool assignments that made us think.
I had the joy of joining a course that she took online in 2021 called ‘Grow with Literature’ where we analysed posters, Instagram posts, short stories, manga, song lyrics, articles, paintings and more and learnt about being persuasive, objective, careful with our words, observant, collaborative. Sometimes, our discussions left me confused or uncomfortable in the best way, because it made me think long after the class had finished. We were given so many cool and interesting assignments which once again, made me think a lot. I keep repeating that because none of my long years of schooling had before or have since made me think so much, think for myself and think beyond.
Even now, I look forward to messages from Ms DS, asking for my opinions on an article or a news story. I am grateful that she was and continues being a wonderful teacher to me. She even made me like poetry a little bit, and that is not something I thought would ever happen, so you can imagine what a talent she has for teaching.
